W.E.C. Engineers, Inc. completed a "Needs Assessment" and was able to begin implementation of their Geographic Information System (GIS). W.E.C. provided software installation and training services as well as data input and conversion services.

 

W.E.C. staff prepared statewide ARC/INFO compatible coverage for the following map elements:

• Interstates
• U.S. Routes
• State Routes
• County Routes
• Rivers
• Minor Civil Division Boundaries
• Landmarks
• Place Boundaries

W.E.C. also prepared coverage which included detailed data regarding the map layers as well as local roads.  W.E.C. developed a dynamically segmented route system to facilitate display of data referenced only by route and milepost.
