Open-End Bridge Repair Contracts - Allegheny County: Structural repairs of over 99 County bridges including the 6th, 7th, 9th, 10th Street Bridges and the Mansfield Bridge. Design work included, Structural repairs, bridge replacements, superstructure replacements, structural steel repairs, rocker bearing replacement, class AA cement concrete repairs, deck repairs & latex overlays and painting etc. Review bridge overload permits for structural adequacy for Allegheny County.

Levi Bird Duff Bridge Preservation Project – Allegheny County: This project included a latex overlay, Class AA Cement Repairs, Expansion Dam Replacement and analysis of the existing 120’ high piers during construction of this 800’ long bridge over I-279.

SR 0065, Sec. A33, A34 and A35, Emergency Bridge Rehabilitation - PennDOT District 11-0 (ABCD Outstanding Rehabilitated Structure Award 2004): Structural repairs and redecking of three concrete arch bridges. This work included the review of existing load ratings, design of a new concrete deck over an existing precast deck. The new deck retrofitted the deteriorated post tensioning in the precast deck. Extensive class AA cement concrete repairs on the arch, columns and floor beams were performed.

Fort Duquesne Pedestrian Bridge - Sports & Exhibition Authority: Design of pedestrian ramp from the Fort Duquesne Bridge to the North Shore. This work included the design of numerous composite steel beams, a cantilever concrete deck and several foundations bearing on steel H piles. The PS&E design was completed in months once the TS&L was approved. STAAD was used to model the steel framing.

Fort Duquesne Bridge Preservation - PennDOT District 11-0: Structural repairs & painting. The structural repairs included resetting the rocker bearings, pedestal replacements, fabricated structural steel repairs, class AA cement concrete repairs as well as expansion dam repairs and replacement.

SR 1011-A01 - PennDOT District 2-0 (ABCD Outstanding Short Span Bridge Structure Award 2003): Reviewed existing load ratings. With beam and superstructure replacement, improved bridge capacity and load ratings. Design of 126’ single span prestressed concrete I girder beam on steel H-piles.

SR 3026-A01 - PennDOT District 11-0: Design of a 132’ composite steel plate multi-girder bridge founded on drilled caissons over Millers Run.

P006 Emergency Bridge Repair - Allegheny County: Reviewed existing load ratings. With beam and superstructure replacement improved bridge capacity and load ratings. Replacement of a 2-span bridge. Design time from TS&L to PS&E was only 3 months.

Thermo Village Road Bridge Replacement - Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission: Design of a 150’ composite steel plate girder bridge over the PA Turnpike founded on steel H piles

New Stanton Viaduct Replacement B-328 M.P. 75 - PA Turnpike Commission: Design of a 5-span mainline bridge in two stages while maintaining 4 lanes of traffic during construction. Design work for this project included 9 curved composite steel girders, 4 piers (1of which was designed to cantilever over an existing culvert), and two abutments founded on steel H piles. Design also included the widening and deck replacement of a 3- span ramp bridge over the turnpike.

SR 2009-A01 - PennDOT District 2-0: Reviewed existing load ratings. With beam and superstructure replacement improve bridge capacity and load ratings. Designed 66.5’ single span prestressed concrete adjacent box beam bridge with new abutments on pile footing.

Georges Run Bridge Replacement - Allegheny County: Bridge & Wall Replacement. Design of a 39’ single span spread box beam bridge and a 900’ long pile & lagging wall.

Leading Creek Bridge - West Virginia: Widening & deck replacement of a 3-span bridge. This work included design of new steel beam and two widened pier caps.

10th & 15th Streets Pedestrian Bridges - City of Pittsburgh: Replacement of two pedestrian bridges over the Norfolk & Southern Railroad. The abutments are founded on spread footings and drilled shafts.

Bridge B-432 Replacement - Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission: Design of a 130’ composite steel plate girder bridge over the PA Turnpike founded on steel H piles and a spread footing. The design of a culvert extension was included in this project
